About Devault

Devault is a free set of developer tools for everyday work: formatting JSON and SQL, decoding JWTs, converting timestamps, testing regular expressions, generating hashes and UUIDs, and more. There are currently 44 tools.

Why it exists

Many online developer tools send whatever you paste to a server. That is a poor fit when the input is an API response, an access token, or a production config file. Devault takes the opposite approach: every tool runs in your browser using standard web APIs such as the Web Crypto API, so the input you type or paste is not uploaded anywhere.

How it works

  • The site is a static Next.js application hosted on Vercel.
  • Tool logic runs client-side in TypeScript; there is no account or login.
  • Preferences such as favorites are stored in your browser only.
  • The source code is open on GitHub.
